This
program is great if you are interested in
Google's sitemaps system. Sitemaps Generator traverses the directory
structure of your site(s) and creates a sitemap in XML format, zips it up,
and submits it to
Google for you.
The following is from
Google's web site:
"Google Sitemaps is an easy way for
you to help improve your coverage in the Google index. It's a
collaborative crawling system that enables you to communicate directly
with Google to keep us informed of all your web pages, and when you make
changes to these pages."
With our Sitemaps Generator, this can be
an easy, automated process for you. Simply install the program, log into
the administration area to create your sitemaps and adjust the settings
for each one, then set up a cron job to call the program as often as you
wish. Each time it is called it can be told to simply rebuild the sitemaps
in the system, or to rebuild them and submit them to
Google. According to
Google's docs you should first submit each one manually first. Then, let
our program take over for you, refreshing the sitemaps and sending them in
for you!
There are no limit to the number of
sitemaps you can add to the system, but please be sure to read the
limitations in the
Google FAQs before using the program.
