Licensing Information.

The Free Products

1) Any of the free scripts within Veinotte.com's Custom CGI may be used as is, or modified by the user to meet specific needs, free of charge as long as all copyright notices remain intact, and any modifications are listed in the source. Modifying the original source also requires that you either

    a) Make the revised code freely available to the Public Domain.

    b) Use the modified code only within your organization.

    c) Allow the copyright holder to include the revised code in the standard distribution.

    d) Contact Support and make other arrangements.

2) The free scripts may be distributed freely provided that the copyright is not altered, and any modifications made before such distribution are listed in the source along with the name and contact information of the individual who made the modifications. Such distribution must not be for profit - contact support before including any of these scripts with other for-profit packages or programs.

3) Distribution of modified versions of any program must also contain the original version, with information explaining the changes that were made, and where to find the original source.

4) Use of the free scripts also requires that the image below is downloaded and displayed on your site, linked back to either http://www.veinotte.com   or  http://www.cgi.veinotte.com/

Purchased Products

1) Purchased scripts may not be distributed in any form without the prior consent of the copyright holder. This includes original and modified versions.

2) Modification of purchased programs requires that the modifications be submitted to the copyright holder with written permission to include the new source in future distributions of the program and with any other programs that might benefit from the new code. Any such distributions will include a notice in the source crediting the author of the revisions, but does not entitle the author to any benefits, financial or otherwise.

3) Purchasing a product grants permission to use one copy of the product, or the use of the program on one web site, unless an Unlimited Usage License has been purchased. For information on an unlimited license contact support

4) Purchases automatically entitle the customer to a minimum of 30 days E-Mail support. Each purchase will come with detailed documentation as to the specific support provided. veinotte.com guarantees only to provide the best support possible, and will fully refund any monies received, less charges for work deemed to be beyond the scope of basic support, if a program is determined to be unusable by a client because of system incompatibilities. All efforts will be made to modify programs to meet system specifications.

5) Customers paying Installation prices will have the product installed and tested by veinotte.com as well as receive the source on disk if requested. Disk(s) will be free of charge, only for customer paying the Installation fees. Support for these customers is Phone-In and E-Mail, and will be granted within what veinotte.com considers to be reasonable amounts.

6) The only guarantee is that veinotte.com will provide the best support possible and within their means, within the length of time specified at the time of purchase. There is no other guarantee expressed or implied, and veinotte.com is in no way responsible for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the use of or in connection with any software or related dealings.

Custom Applications

The following items apply to but are not necessarily limited to, custom applications written by
veinotte.com.

1) Upon purchase the client obtains the right to use the scripts as per the specifications above in the "Purchased Scripts" section, and  as agreed to upon purchase. Any differences in written agreements from the information on this page are to be combined with the terms and conditions on this page and the total considered to be the official usage agreement.

2) Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, veinotte.com reserves all rights to the program(s) including the right to resell part or all of the program, at prices that may vary from that which was paid by the party originally requesting the product.

3) The customer may NOT resell a program, script, or portion of either without the prior written consent of veinotte.com. This applies to any products, custom or previously existing that are purchased from veinotte.com . Exceptions are as follows -

     a) The rights obtained for a program are transferable in the event that the Web Site, or company that originally acquired the program has a change of ownership. In such a situation, the new owners inherit the exact rights that have been previously purchased and must comply to the original terms and conditions under which the product was purchased by the previous owners.

4) Any monies paid in advance to veinotte.com for contract work will be refunded only if the product fails to be completed, or is not completed by the time specified upon contract, in which case refunds will depend on factors such as the time spent on the project, and there is no guarantee whatsoever that a full or partial refund will be granted. In the event of a product being deemed unusable by the customer, arrangements may be made concerning a partial or complete refund, but is not guaranteed.

NOTE:
The conditions listed here are to be followed in conjunction with any additional or differing terms agreed to by veinotte.com and the customer. In the event of conflicting terms, the Written Agreement will be considered the valid agreement, but ONLY for those items which differ from, or are not included in those above.
